Expect daytime lane restrictions, delays on US 93 near Kingman May 20 - 23 for pavement repairs
The Arizona Department of Transportation advises Kingman area drivers to plan for lane restrictions and travel delays on an 11-mile segment of US 93 north of Kingman and on a 2-mile segment south of Kingman.
Motorists should allow extra travel time while the following daytime restrictions are in place from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.:
Monday, May 20 and Tuesday, May 21
-
US 93 will be intermittently narrowed to one lane roughly between downtown Kingman and Mineral Park Road (mileposts 59 to 70).
-
A 16-foot vehicle width restriction will be in place.
-
The speed limit will be reduced in the work zone.
Wednesday, May 22 and Thursday, May 23
-
US 93 will be intermittently narrowed to one lane between the junction with Interstate 40 and Breccia Drive (mileposts 95 to 97).
-
A 16-foot vehicle width restriction will be in place.
-
The speed limit will be reduced in the work zone.
The restrictions are needed so crews can make pavement repairs to the roadway. For more information, visit the project webpage.
The upcoming work is the final two of three segments of pavement repairs on US 93 in Mohave and Yavapai counties. A 2-mile section south of Wikieup was paved last spring.
