Weekend Freeway Travel Advisory (January 4-7):
Southbound SR 51 on-ramp at Union Hills closed Saturday
PHOENIX – No major freeway closures are scheduled in the Phoenix area this weekend, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation. The southbound State Route 51 on-ramp at Union Hills Drive will be closed Saturday.
ADOT recommends drivers plan to use alternate routes while the following restrictions are in place:

Eastbound Union Hills Drive on-ramp to southbound State Route 51 closed from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday (Jan. 5) for electrical system work. DETOUR: Consider using Union Hills Drive to southbound 40th Street to westbound Bell Rd. to access State Route 51.

Litchfield Road will be closed for approximately two months between Wigman Boulevard and Village Parkway from Monday, January 7 through Friday, March 8 for construction of a pedestrian underpass. DETOUR: Consider using Dysart Road or Sarival Avenue while closure is in place.
