John Bogert joined ADOT in 1989 as chief auditor and was appointed the agency’s Chief of Staff in 2000 and Chief of Operations in 2009. In 2011, John was appointed the Deputy Director for Operations and oversees the day-to-day operations of the department.  John is responsible for establishing administrative and program policy in support of the agency’s strategic plan.

   Prior to joining the Department, John was vice president of internal audit for Del Webb Corporation. His prior experience includes nine years with national and local public accounting firms and three years of teaching at ASU and Fort Lewis College.

   He has a BBA in Accounting from Eastern New Mexico University, a Master's degree in Accounting from ASU and is a Certified Public Accountant.
