Wednesday, May 13 will be specifically used to demonstrate the practical application of geophysical methods for geotechnical subsurface investigations. Due to the limited time frame of the conference, the technology demonstration will be limited to seismic refraction and resistivity techniques. The focus will primarily be on data reduction and interpretation using current state of practice, an introduction to and demonstration of equipment by various manufacturers, and DOT case histories. Emerging technologies will also be addressed.  Conference Agenda

Block of Rooms:	A block of rooms at the Crowne Plaza Hotel has been reserved at a rate of $96.00 per night, plus tax, under the Southwest Geotechnical Engineers Conference. To be guaranteed this rate, reservations must be made no later than April 27, 2009. Please identify yourself as an attendee of the 2009 Southwest Geotechnical Engineers Conference when calling to make your reservations. Early reservation is strongly recommended. Hotel check-in time is 3:00pm and check-out time is 12:00 noon.

Registration and Sponsorship:	At this time Vendor Registration is no longer available for the conference. The following is the Final Vendor Booth Layout. Participant Registration and Sponsorship Opportunities continue to be available. Participant registration is $150 which includes a reception on Monday evening, and breakfast, breaks and lunch on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Sponsorship opportunities are available at Platinum, Gold and Silver Levels. Travel to/from Airport:	Both shuttle and taxi services are available. Shuttle charge is $20.00, one-way (www.supershuttle.com); Taxi charge is $40.00, one-way.
