Provide geotechnical project access and investigation locations for environmental review. |

Provide comprehensive geotechnical exploration and sampling services for the following: |

|
Roadway, structure foundation, and building foundation design. |
| |
|
Material sources. |
| |
|
Special problems on projects. |
| |
|
Existing highway problems; slope failures, embankment settlements, etc. |
|
Obtain appropriate samples to determine material characteristics. |
|
Prepare engineering reports documenting exploration and sampling activities. |
|
Install, monitor, and maintain a continuous record of geotechnical monitoring devices and systems on ADOT facilities where required. |
|
Conduct geophysical investigations, as requested. |
|
Compile and maintain an inventory of highway rock slopes for the Rockslope Maintenance System and rockfall hazard ratings. |
|
Coordinate and manage contracts with consultants for statewide on-call geotechnical exploration services. |
|
Provide training opportunities for office staff and field crews. |
|
Provide limited purchasing functions for the geotechnical group. |
|
Provide geotechnical fleet administration and maintenance. |
|
Ensure environmental, historical and storm water pollution prevention for geotechnical field investigation requirements are met. |
