Motorists traveling on Interstate 10 near the interchange with State Route 90 will encounter travel restrictions later this week and early next week as the Arizona Department of Transportation continues work on the newly constructed overpass in Benson.
The following are restrictions are scheduled:
- The right lane of westbound I-10 will be closed from 6 a.m. until 4 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 20 for one mile starting a half-mile east of SR 90 to allow crews to make repairs to a barrier wall.
- The entrance ramp onto eastbound I-10 from SR 90 will be closed for paving at 9 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 23 and reopening at 6 a.m. Monday, Sept. 24. During this closure, SR 90 traffic will travel west on I-10 to Mescal Road (Exit 297) to exit and return to eastbound I-10.

ADOT advises drivers to proceed through the work zones with caution, slow down, and be alert for construction equipment and personnel.
ADOT works to inform the public about planned highway restrictions, but there is a possibility that unscheduled closures or restrictions may occur. Weather can also affect a project schedule.
