The Arizona Department of Transportation is planning improvements to US 89 between State Route 64 and the Little Colorado River. The project will include:

• Expanding US 89 to four lanes through the Cameron community
• Installing street lights through Cameron
• Constructing a roundabout at the intersection of US 89 and State Route 64
• Building a new bridge over the Little Colorado River.
• Installation of new sidewalks and pedestrian underpasses
