About the Regional Freeway Section
Our Mission Statement
To gather, organize, communicate and disseminate data and information to our customers so that wise decisions are made that will facilitate the successful and timely completion of the Regional Freeway System.
Our Goals
Organizing and filing information and data related to the
Regional Freeway System such that it is readily available in a comprehensive
form and can be easily disseminated. Compiling, analyzing and integrating
the Life Cycle Program Revenue and Cost data for the Region Freeway System
into a report that clearly presents information that is user friendly. This
information is distributed to our customers in January and July of each year. Providing relevant and updated program, schedule and
graphical information concerning the Regional Freeway System on the Internet.
Working cooperatively with our customers which include Maricopa
Association of Governments (MAG), the
Legislature, local jurisdictions, other ADOT sections
and interested parties concerning the Regional Freeway Program and State Program
in the MAG Region. Providing administrative service to ADOT staff and other
stakeholders by planning, scheduling, organizing and conducting meetings for
bi-weekly updates of the status of Regional Freeway Projects, freeway issues
and programming concerns.
Providing administrative service to the Citizens
Transportation Oversight Committee (CTOC). This includes planning,
scheduling and organizing meetings for the presentation of information
and receipt of public comment relevant to Regional Freeway issues
and clearly communicating positions established by CTOC to the
State Transportation Board, the Legislature, Governor's
Office and MAG Regional Council. We also assist the Chairman in
the preparation of the Annual Report which includes a summary of the
Committee activities, issues heard, concerns and recommendations.
