Closures & Restrictions

Interstate 10, a major transcontinental highway, runs east from the California border, through the central core of the Valley, curving to meet Interstate 17 at two different points, then heading south toward Tucson.

The section of I-10 known as the Papago Freeway serves the West Valley and passes through central Phoenix before turning south to meet I-17 at the intersection known as the I-10/I-17 Split.

The Maricopa Freeway heads east and south from the I-10/I-17 Split, giving access to Tempe, Chandler and other East Valley communities.
