State Route 24 (Gateway Freeway)

Project Overview  

The initial phase State Route 24 (previously SR 802) will be a one-mile stretch beginning at Loop 202 (Santan Freeway) near the Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport and ending at Ellsworth Road.
Once the initial phase is completed, Motorists will be able to look forward to:

  • Enhanced access from south east Maricopa County to north east Pinal County
  • Additional routes into and out of Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport and its surrounding businesses and schools

Additional phases of this project are suspended until the North-South Corridor Study in Pinal County advances.
