Construction Academy Pre-Apprenticeship Training Program

ADOT Construction Academy is a pre-apprenticeship training program for minorities, women, disadvantaged individuals and veterans. The purpose of the program is to prepare individuals to enter highway construction trades or apprenticeship and successful obtain journeyman status. In addition to construction trades education, participants received supportive services including transportation assistances, job readiness skills development, childcare assistance, and safe wear (tools/boots/hardhats/protective eye wear) to help remove barriers that impede their progress in apprenticeship training or working on at a construction project.

  • Gateway Community College, Business Industry and Government Training 
  • Pima Community College
