Construction Academy Pre-Apprenticeship Training Program

ADOT announces its Construction Academy, an amazing pre-apprenticeship training program, for minorities, women, disadvantaged individuals and veteran community members*. The purpose of the three-week program is to learn and experience the trades available in the construction field that may be available for employment. Participants completing the program have a huge advantage in stepping into a sound opportunity for future employment. (No guarantee of placement.)
Applicants must be able to transport themselves to classes that are located near the ADOT training center in central Phoenix. Interested individuals can complete the application online by clicking the button below or or picking up a hard copy at this address:

Courses will be taught by industry experts and include these topics:

|Materials and Materials Lab ||Traffic IT ||Concrete and Ironwork |
|Highway Survey ||Highway Painting ||Job Search Skills |
|Highway Carpentry ||Block Masonry ||Q&A with Contractors |
Courses will provide hands-on training and will be held both in the classroom and in the field. Protective wear, hard hats and goggles will be provided at no cost to you.
You must be available for three weeks, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The following dates have been set for upcoming academies:
- Jan. 26-Feb. 13, 2015
- April 20-May 8, 2015
