    • These two sample letters contain wording to invite federal agencies to participate as cooperating agencies in upcoming environmental investigations. One letter is for the US Army Corps of Engineers and the other is for the Apache-Sitegreaves National Forest.

    • This paper provides instructional guidance on when and how to apply the provisions of Section 4(f) of the US Department of Transportation Act of 1966. It is based on a combination of the requirements of the 4(f) statute, case law resulting from litigation, and years of ad hoc decisions on project-by-project basis.

This guidance is to be used for Environmental Assessments, Environmental Impact Statements, and for projects requiring a significant amount of new right of way.

    • The guideline may be used for all statewide projects to ensure that Title VI of the Civil Rights Act and the Executive Order 12898 "Federal Actions to Address Environmental Justice in Minortiy Populations and Low-Income Populations" are adequately considered in the environmental planning process.
