Openings, Rehabs and Closures

Rehabilitations
2014
  • Ehrenberg Rest Area at I-10 milepost 5 (both directions) is closed for major renovation. It will open in approximately100 calendar days around mid-April 2015.
  • Salt River Canyon Rest Area at US 60 milepost 292.8 will undergo rehabilitation in calendar year 2014. We expect it to be reopened in Dec. 2014.
2015
  • San Simon Rest Area is scheduled for rehabilitation in early calendar year 2015.
  • Texas Canyon Rest Area  is scheduled to close for rehabilitation in late calendar year 2015.
2016
  • Mohawk Rest Area is currently closed. Expected to reopen to the public in April 2017.
  • Haviland Rest Area is currently closed to west bound traffic.
