The Arizona Department of Transportation is designing roadway improvements for Interstate 10, from State Route 87 to the community of Picacho. The proposed improvements include:
- Widening I-10 from two lanes to three lanes in each direction
- Enhancing freeway and roadside safety by realigning I-10 just east of mile post 210, through the community of Picacho
- Eliminating a substantial length of elevated freeway
- Removing embankments to improve visibility for motorists
Project Schedule:
- Anticipated final design by spring 2012
