SR 189: Long-Term Study

International Border to Grand Avenue Design Concept Report and Environmental Assessment

ADOT is working on a Design Concept Report and Environmental Assessment for SR 189 between the US-Mexico Border and the B-19 junction to develop a long-range plan for future improvements. The study is anticipated to take 18 to 24 months and will include a minimum of three public meetings throughout the process.

A Design Concept Report documents preliminary technical studies, alternatives considered, the preferred alternative and preliminary design plans. An Environmental Assessment is federally required documentation that assesses the potential environmental impacts of the proposed alternatives that the DCR evaluates.
