The Arizona Department of Transportation will improve State Route 64 through the town of Tusayan and construct enhancements along the roadway. The roadway work will include widening the current five lane divided highway to allow for raised center medians and bus pull outs and constructing two roundabout intersections. The enhancement improvements will include new sidewalks, granite paths, decorative signage, and landscaping.

What to Expect

• Construction will resume the week of April 16, 2012 and is scheduled to be complete by summer 2012..
• The work will require periodic lane restrictions.

There is a possibility that unscheduled closures or restrictions may occur due to weather and other unforeseen circumstances.
