Overnight lane restrictions are scheduled next week as crews continue working on the reconstruction of the traffic interchange at Interstate 17 and State Route 69 in Cordes Junction, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.
There will be left lane restrictions overnight in both directions from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. on Monday, September 24. as crews remove dirt from the median and restripe the roadway.
Drivers are encouraged to adjust their travel schedules in order to avoid the restrictions during these hours or allow extra travel time to reach their destination. The work is part of a $50 million project to modernize the I-17/SR 69 interchange.
ADOT works to inform the public about planned highway restrictions, but there is a possibility that unscheduled closures or restrictions may occur. Weather can also affect a project schedule.
