Identification cards for children and adults are available at any MVD office. IMPORTANT: See what documents you must bring with you when applying for an identification card for yourself or your child.
All applicants, including children, must provide their Social Security number. It is for verification purposes only and will not be used as the identification card number.
Identification Cards for Children
ADOT recommends that all children have an Arizona ID Card.
- An Arizona ID card with a photo enables law enforcement agencies to distribute your child's information and photograph in the event of an AMBER Alert (child abduction alert bulletin) more rapidly.
- An Arizona ID card can help protect your child against identity theft.
- Having an Arizona ID card can make it easier for your child to travel and enroll in school or activities.
A new photo will be needed as your child grows and changes.
