The Arizona Department of Transportation will begin a project to improve the circulation of traffic at the I-10 Ehrenberg traffic interchange (Exit 1) beginning Monday, March 10.
The project consists of building a new roundabout on the south side of I-10, as well as building a new left-turn lane to the nearby travel center. Pavement improvements on the south frontage road and a segment of Poston Road are also included in the project.
Motorists are advised to allow extra travel time through the work zone.
Work is scheduled to take place weekdays from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Additional nighttime work is planned along the frontage road. Updates will be provided when they become available. No work is scheduled for holidays. Law enforcement will be in place to monitor traffic. Message boards will be in place to inform motorists of road restrictions.
The project is scheduled to be completed in fall 2014.
