Paving Project on I-17
Work will occur south of the SR 169 traffic interchange, and minimal delays are expected.
The Arizona Department of Transportation currently has a paving project to repave a 10-mile stretch of I-17 between the SR 169 traffic interchange and the Orme/Dugas exit (mileposts 269 to 279).
This $6.4 million project consists of removing a layer of the existing pavement, repaving the roadway, completing bridge work and replacing guardrail, and is expected to be complete by the fall 2014.
The work zone will be clearly marked by temporary barricades and signage. ADOT advises drivers to allow additional time to reach their destinations, to proceed through the work zone with caution, to comply with the reduced speed limit and to be alert for construction equipment and personnel.
