Phoenix Metro Area Projects

U.S. Route 60 (Grand Avenue) and Bell Road Interchange

The Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) is considering improvements at the intersection of US 60 and Bell Road. This project is part of the Maricopa Association of Government's (MAG) Regional Transportation Plan (RTP) and the project area is located within the city of Surprise in Maricopa County, Arizona. It is anticipated that this project would construct a new traffic interchange (TI) to improve traffic operations at this location.

A public hearing was help on April 30, 2104, at Sun City Grand, Sonoran Plaza, 19753 N. Remington Dr., in Surprise, AZ 85374. Representatives from ADOT, FHWA and the technical team were on-hand to answer questions. Attendees could view a formal presentation, watch simulations of the alternatives and view display boards and roll plots.

The public comment period for the Draft EA closed on May 15, 2014. The project team is currently in the process of reviewing and responding to the comments received. These responses will be published in a Final EA, which will be posted on this page.
