US 191 closed in eastern Arizona mountains due to Bringham Fire

Through traffic can use SR 78 and US 180 in western New Mexico

PHOENIX – US 191 is closed to through traffic in the mountains of eastern Arizona, an area north of Morenci and south of Hannagan Meadow, due to the Bringham Fire, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.

With a prolonged closure expected between mileposts 186 and 225, through traffic can detour on US 180 and State Route 78 through western New Mexico. US 191 is open to local traffic only between the closure points.
