The Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) is required to ensure that contractors and subcontractors performing work on federal aid construction contracts do not discriminate in employment and contracting.
ADOT administers a Contractor Compliance Program to meet Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) regulations. In accordance with 23 CFR Part 230, ADOT maintains the responsibility to monitor contractor equal employment opportunity (EEO) compliance efforts. The specific Required Contract Provisions (FHWA-1273) are applicable to all contractors and subcontractors who hold Federal or Federal-aid contracts of $10,000 or more.
ADOT’s External Civil Rights Group is responsible for developing and implementing the External EEO Contractor Compliance Program.
The Contractor Compliance Program Plan identifies the implementation of the equal employment opportunity contract compliance program, procedures, and compliance reviews.
