Engineering Consultants

Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Program

The Engineering Consultants Section (ECS) seeks to ensure compliance with the regulations of the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT), 49 CFR Part 26, through proper contract execution and successful management of all DBE contracts.

ECS is committed to providing proper advertisement, fair and reasonable award selection, and other measures to ensure that DBE requirements are met.

All prime consultants are required to prequalify for ADOT contracts. Subconsultants are not required to be prequalified but are encouraged to do so to receive all ECS information bulletins regarding policy changes, new contract processes and any ECS-sponsored training.

Civil Rights

Pursuant to Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and other nondiscrimination laws and authorities, ADOT does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, age, or disability. Persons that require a reasonable accommodation based on language or disability should contact ADOT’s Civil Rights Office at civilrightsoffice@azdot.gov. Requests should be made as early as possible to ensure the State has an opportunity to address the accommodation.
