ADOT Auction

Effective July 1, 2014, ADOT Equipment Services will conduct all vehicle and equipment auctions online.

Equipment Services will auction vehicles and equipment year-round as it becomes available. The website will include a full description, disclosure of any known issues, and photos of the equipment.

Everything that is for sale at the public auction is surplus property of ADOT, including light cars and trucks, heavy trucks, construction equipment and specialized equipment such as arrow boards, message boards, air compressors, water tanks, etc.

Surplus items are first offered for sale to other state agencies, local government agencies, school districts and other eligible nonprofit institutions. These agencies are referred to as donees. Items are offered to donees at an ADOT-established fair-market value, and that value is not negotiable. Items that are not sold to donees are made available for the public to bid on.

The public will receive approximately 7 days to bid on the equipment but can be extended. The internet site allows for proxy bids to be placed by bidders. The winner of the auction will be notified via email and given five days to pay and 10 days to pick up the item from the ADOT Equipment Services Yard.

Registering is free! Register.

You can see the equipment for sale by ADOT without registering, but to bid, you must register.

Most items offered for sale are used and may contain defects not immediately detectable. Bidders may inspect the property prior to bidding. Bidders must contact Equipment Services to schedule an appointment to see the equipment. Contact ADOT Equipment Services at 602.712.6508.
