PHOENIX – Drivers on eastbound Interstate 10 near Casa Grande should expect intermittent overnight lane closures as Arizona Department of Transportation crews widen I-10 in Pinal County.
Lane closures are possible between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. beginning Monday, April 16, and continuing until Thursday, April 19. The work will take place near the Jimmie Kerr Boulevard bridge, between milepost 198 and Interstate 8.
A 12-foot width restriction will be in place in the work zone. Drivers are encouraged to use caution and watch for construction workers and equipment.
ADOT is widening I-10 to six lanes between Earley Road (milepost 196) and Interstate 8. About 10 miles away, a second project includes widening I-10 to six lanes, adding a new interchange with State Route 87 and implementing an innovative dust detection project. Both projects are expected to be completed by early fall 2019.
