Filing a Complaint Against an Automobile Dealer

Filing a Complaint Against an Automobile Dealer

OIG detectives conduct investigations of automobile dealers and their regulated activities. A detective will contact you; therefore it is critical your documents include your current contact information.

Prior to submitting any complaint form, review the Resources tab to review a list of issues which ADOT OIG has no authorization to investigate.

To file a complaint against a dealer for title related issues, complete the Title Complaint Form.

To file a complaint against a dealer for any other issues, complete the Incident Complaint Form.

Please note the above forms must be completely filled out, signed, and witnessed either by a notary or at any of the Motor Vehicle Division Offices or Motor Vehicle Division Authorized Third Party Providers.

For title complaints only, if the vehicle is still in your possession, have a Level I inspection completed at any of the Motor Vehicle Division Offices or Motor Vehicle Division Authorized Third Party Providers.

Submit the above documents along with a copy (do not send original documents) of the Purchase Agreement (Sales Contract) to OIG at
