PHOENIX –  The right lanes of Interstate 10 eastbound are closed at 22nd Street for a police incident and delays are building, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.

The left lanes are open but there is heavy traffic in the area. 22nd Street is also closed at the intersection.

ADOT advises avoiding the area, exiting before 22nd Street, delaying travel or choosing alternate routes.

There is no estimated time to reopen the right lanes.

Real-time highway conditions are available on ADOT’s Arizona Traveler Information site at, by calling 511 and through ADOT’s Twitter feed,@ArizonaDOT. When a freeway closure or other major traffic event occurs, our free app available at will send critical information directly to app users in affected areas – where possible, in advance of alternate routes.
