Travel Driver License

Apply for a Travel ID

 

  • Accepted at airport security checkpoints and federal facilities

Effective October 1, 2021, only the Arizona Travel ID and Arizona Travel Driver License, a U.S. passport, and other federally approved identification will be accepted at TSA airport security checkpoints for domestic travel.

Non-Travel Driver License

Non-Travel Driver Licenses do not comply with federal identification requirements and cannot be used at TSA airport security checkpoints starting October 1, 2021.

The non-travel license says NOT FOR FEDERAL IDENTIFICATION across the front.

Address Needs to be Current

If necessary, update your address at AZMVDNow.gov before you apply for either credential. Allow up to 15 days to receive it in the mail at the address listed on your application. A temporary credential receipt with photo will be issued at the office.
