Arizona Overdimensional Permit Council

The Overdimensional Permit Council (ODPC) is a statutory public body appointed by the Governor and subject to the Arizona Open Meeting Laws prescribed under Title 38, Arizona Revised Statutes. ODPC is responsible for advising and assisting the Department in developing rules for the administration of oversize and overweight commercial vehicle transport as authorized under Title 28, Arizona Revised Statutes, Chapter 3, Articles 18 and 19.

Additionally, ODPC is required under A.R.S. § 28-1103(F) to review all ordinances proposed by any local authority relating to infrastructure restrictions, route restrictions, or time-of-day restrictions on oversize and overweight commercial vehicle transport to determine if the proposed ordinance is substantially identical, uniform, and consistent with rules adopted by the Department for oversize and overweight commercial vehicle transport, before the local ordinance is adopted and enforced.
