Transportation Analysis

Transportation Analysis supports ADOT through the stewardship of transportation databases, the development and application of planning analysis tools, the monitoring and reporting of highway performance, and projections of future transportation system conditions and impacts. 

Data Analytics

Data Analytics reports, maintains, collects and analyzes data for all roadways in Arizona and prepares the annual Highway Performance Monitoring System (HPMS) submission to the USDOT Federal Highway Administration.

Geospatial Analysis

Geospatial Analysis administers geographical information systems (GIS) related to the statewide roadway inventory, and the Arizona Transportation Information System (ATIS) which is ADOT’s transportation network linear referencing system (LRS).

Modeling & Forecasting

Modeling & Forecasting maintains and enhances the Arizona Travel Demand Model (AZTDM) and associated impact analysis tools which are used to develop traffic forecasts and their impacts for local, regional and statewide planning and design studies.

Traffic Monitoring

Traffic Monitoring maintains a statewide system of permanent and temporary counting infrastructure to collect, analyze, and report vehicular traffic data on the State Highway System; and, maintains the Transportation Data Management System (TDMS) traffic data repository.
