Timeline - I-10 and SR 210 Study

The study has been divided into two phases. Phase I is complete and the final report is available on this project web page. Phase II is underway.

Phase I: Feasibility Study and Environmental Overview

This phase of the study includes preparation of an engineering and environmental overview report for both Interstate 10 between the I-10/I-19 interchange on Tucson’s southwest side and SR 83 in eastern Pima County, and State Route 210 to a future connection with I-10 in southeast Tucson. View the final report.

Phase II: Design Concept Report and Environmental Assessment

This stage includes the preparation of a Design Concept Report and Environmental Assessment to comply with the National Environmental Policy Act to widen Interstate 10 from the Interstate 19 interchange east to Kolb Road and to extend State Route 210 to a future connection with Interstate 10 in southeast Tucson. Work on the Phase II study began in 2016 and is expected to be completed by 2019.
