Interstate 40 Feasibility Report: Shinarump Drive TI – US 93 (mileposts 43 to 74)

The Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) and the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) have initiated a feasibility study regarding potential improvements along Interstate 40 through Kingman. The study area is:

  • I-40 from Shinarump Drive west of Kingman to just past the US 93/I-40 traffic junction east of Kingman city limits (mileposts 43 to 74)

The purpose of the study is to evaluate different improvement alternatives on I-40 (including passing lane/climbing lane, shoulder improvements and other safety enhancements) and recommend feasible solutions that can improve safety and ease of regional travel by increasing capacity of this stretch of highway.

Study documents will be posted to the site after the April 26 public information meeting.
