  • Weeknights: Southbound Central Avenue will be closed at I-17. Southbound Central Avenue will be open to local traffic only between Buckeye Road and the I-17 frontage road nightly from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m. beginning Tuesday, Oct. 27, through the morning of Friday, Oct. 30.
    • Detour: Southbound Central Avenue traffic will be detoured at Buckeye to Seventh Avenue and Seventh Street.
  • Weekend: North- and southbound Central Avenue will be closed at I-17. Central Avenue will be open to local traffic only between Buckeye Road and Broadway Road from 9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 30, through 5 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 2.
    • Detour: Central Avenue traffic will be detoured at Buckeye and Broadway roads to Seventh Avenue and Seventh Street.

Interstate 17 traffic will not be affected.

North- and southbound I-17 traffic will be running on the northbound half of the I-17 bridge at Central Ave, with two travel lanes in each direction. This shift is anticipated to remain in place until early 2021 when traffic will then be switched to the southbound side of I-17 for reconstruction of the northbound side of the bridge.

Schedules are always subject to change because of weather or other unforeseen factors.
