Loop 303 shoulder closures needed from Happy Valley to Lake Pleasant parkways for project construction

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers who use Loop 303 in the far Northwest Valley of shoulder closures needed between Happy Valley and Lake Pleasant parkways for construction of the new Loop 303 improvement project in this area.

The inside (left) shoulder is currently closed in both directions between Happy Valley Parkway and the Beardsley Canal and is scheduled to continue through early September. The northbound inside shoulder between Happy Valley and Lake Pleasant parkways will also continue to be closed through the end of July.  Additional shoulder restrictions will be needed through completion of the Loop 303 project, which is anticipated by early 2022.

Loop 303 improvements between Happy Valley and Lake Pleasant parkways include:

Constructing a third general purpose lane in each direction by widening in the median.

Constructing new bridges over the Beardsley Canal and Jomax Parkway for the new section of the Loop 303 freeway mainline.

Constructing the Jomax Parkway Traffic Interchange, which will connect to the future extension of Jomax Parkway west of Loop 303 to Vistancia Boulevard. The new roadway will be constructed by the city of Peoria, with construction expected to begin in March 2021.
