State Route 88 nightly lane restrictions in Apache Junction begin Feb. 28
The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers who use SR 88 in Apache Junction to plan for nightly lane restrictions beginning Monday, Feb. 28, for drainage improvements.
- SR 88 between North Mammoth Mine Road and the entrance to Lost Dutchman State Park will be narrowed to one lane nightly from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. beginning Tuesday, Feb. 28, and continuing for 3 weeks, Sunday through Friday nights.
- Flaggers will direct motorists through the work zone during these nightly lane restrictions.
ADOT advises drivers to slow down and use caution around construction personnel and equipment while the maintenance work is underway.

Project will require 50-day closure of SR 88 and Tomahawk Road intersection, other traffic restrictions
Detours
During the closure of the SR 88 intersection at Tomahawk Road:
- Drivers traveling northeast on SR 88 may use eastbound Superstition Blvd. and northbound Goldfield Rd. to Lost Dutchman Blvd., then west to return to SR 88.
- Drivers traveling southwest on SR 88 may use westbound Lost Dutchman Blvd. to southbound Idaho Road. to return to SR 88.
