Historic Route 66 restrictions in Flagstaff Nov. 9 - 13

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan ahead for lane restrictions on Historic Route 66 (B40) in Flagstaff as crews remove the raised median in the roadway between Santa Fe Avenue and US 180 (Humphreys Street) in preparation for the Rio de Flag Bridge Replacement project.

The work is scheduled around the clock, beginning at 6 a.m. Monday, Nov. 9, and continuing through 5 p.m. Friday, Nov. 13.

ADOT reminds drivers to slow down and use caution around construction personnel and equipment while the following restrictions are in place:

  • East- and westbound Historic Route 66 (B40) will be alternately narrowed to one lane between US 180 (Humphreys Street) and Phoenix Avenue. Only one direction will be restricted at a time.
  • No left turns at Santa Fe Avenue.
