Interstate 40: Pineveta Draw Bridges, Ash Fork

The Arizona Department of Transportation, in conjunction with the Federal Highway Administration, is planning to improve the life of the Pineveta Draw Bridge by replacing the bridge decks and installing erosion-control measures. The $2.5 million project on Interstate-40 at milepost 138 is approximately 9 miles west of the town of Ash Fork in Yavapai County.

As part of the project, a new concrete floor will be installed across the entire bridge between piers on both east- and westbound structures to protect from erosion.

Construction is anticipated to begin in spring 2021 and continue through the fall of 2022. The project will occur within ADOT right-of-way and easements.

What to expect

Throughout construction, a minimum of one lane of traffic in each direction will be maintained.  During the winter season, October through March, a minimum of two lanes of traffic in each direction will be maintained.
