State Route 89 to Deep Well Ranch Road Widening Project

This project on State Route 89, in Prescott, is approximately one mile in length and includes the widening of a current two-lane roadway to a four-lane divided highway with a raised center median. It will begin at the Deep Well Ranch Road roundabout and continue just south of the State Route 89A junction.

As part of the widening project, there will new sidewalk through the project, a new roundabout at Perkins Drive and additional widening under the State Route 89A overpass to accommodate left-turn movements in both directions. Additionally, James Lane will be constructed that will tie in to the west to the new Willow Creek realignment project, currently underway.

Intersection improvements as the MacCurdy and State Route 89 intersection will require a small piece of the golf course for right-of-way purposes. Noise and sound walls are currently being evaluated and drainage improvements with new curb and gutter will be included.

The schedule for construction is estimated to begin in summer 2018.
