Traffic Alerts - SR 95 Bullhead City Raised Medians

Safety improvement work continues on State Route 95 in Mohave County

With the recent completion of installing a new raised median on State Route 95 between Seventh Street and Aviation Way, Arizona Department of Transportation crews have begun work on the second phase of the raised-median project between Bullhead City Parkway and Aztec Road in Fort Mohave. Crews began installing new concrete curbing this week at the Camp Mohave intersection. Work will continue to move southbound, looping the project area, for the next several weeks.

Construction hours during the second phase will be overnight from 6 p.m. to 5 a.m. beginning Sunday evenings and continuing through Friday mornings. Lane restrictions are removed during daytime hours.

  • Motorists should be prepared for delays of up to 15 minutes as travel is reduced to one lane in each direction through the construction zone.
  • Vehicles should proceed with caution, slow down and watch for construction personnel and equipment.
  • Business access  is maintained at all times during construction

The raised median is expected to be installed in January 2021. The final lane striping and project completion is expected in March 2021.

The concrete raised median is being installed to enhance safety and access along this busy stretch of the SR 95 corridor.
