State Route 68 Union Pass in Golden Valley Safety Improvement Project

Overview

The Arizona Department of Transportation has initiated a highway safety improvement project on State Route 68 in Golden Valley at Union Pass.

What to Expect

  • Intermittent east- and westbound lane closures week days from 5 a.m. to 6 p.m. – between mileposts 8 to 11– beginning Monday, Sept. 14, and continuing through December 2020.
  • The speed limit will be reduced in the work zone, which is approximately 9 miles east of the Bullhead City International Airport.
  • ADOT reminds motorists to use caution around construction personnel and equipment, and be prepared to merge into the open travel lane.

Safety Improvements

  • Construction includes the installation of new guardrail, a radar-speed feedback sign, rumble strips and lane striping. 

Project Schedule

  • Mid-September through December 2020.

Schedule subject to change based on weather or other unforeseen factors.
