State Route 95 Bullhead City Raised Medians

Raised Median Safety Improvement Projects

The Arizona Department of Transportation continues work on a highway safety improvement project on State Route 95 in Fort Mohave. 

Construction to install a concrete raised median in the Fort Mohave area continues through April 2021.

Southern end of Bullhead City Parkway to Aztec Road: Work is underway to replace the existing curb, gutter and sidewalk. The raised median is scheduled to be constructed in March 2021. The final lane striping and project completion is expected in April 2021.

What to Expect

 
  • Intermittent overnight north- and southbound lane closures from 6 p.m. to 5 a.m. beginning Sunday evenings and continuing through Friday mornings. through
  • One travel lane will remain open in each direction.
  • Motorists should be prepared for delays of up to 15 minutes.
  • The speed limit will be reduced in the work zones.
  • Business access will be maintained at all times during construction.
  • Lane restrictions will not be in place during daytime hours.

ADOT reminds motorists to use caution around construction personnel and equipment, and be prepared to merge into the open travel lane.

Construction includes the installation of a raised median to enhance safety and access along the SR 95 corridor.

Project Schedule

  • October 2020 through April 2021.

Schedule subject to change based on weather or other unforeseen factors.
