Interstate Wrong Way Sign Project

The Arizona Department of Transportation is completing a safety project to upgrade Wrong Way signs and pavement markings on interstate ramps in portions of southern Arizona.

Wrong-way Sign Project

The project will include ramps on the following routes:

  • Interstate 8 in Pinal County (State Route 84 to I-10)
  • Interstate 10 in Pinal, Pima and Cochise counties (Sacaton Rest Area to the New Mexico border)
  • Interstate 19 in Pima and Santa Cruz counties (Tucson to Nogales)

Work began in May 2021 and is scheduled to extend through early 2022.

Traffic Restrictions

Interstate traffic will not be affected by the project. Most work will be completed on ramp shoulders, but short delays or ramp closures are possible in some locations.
