The $4.5 million project is located in Pima County on Interstate 19 between mileposts 49 and 50, approximately 15 miles south of the City of Tucson. The work consists of removing and replacing the southbound and northbound bridge decks, reconstructing the roadway and bridge approaches, replacing guardrail and guardrail end treatments, and replacing pavement markings.
The ramp from Pima Mine Road to southbound I-19 is currently closed due to construction. Motorists should use an alternate route.
Drivers should expect possible delays.
Work is expected to be completed by the fall of 2018.
