US 70 Passing Lane Extension near Cutter

The Arizona Department of Transportation is completing a project to extend an eastbound passing lane along US 70 between Globe and Peridot.

Drivers should plan for lane restrictions from January to August 2020.  Motorists can expect shoulder closures, single-lane travel, and flagger stations with possible pilot car operations.

The project includes the following elements:

  • Widening the existing roadway
  • Milling and repaving the existing travel lanes
  • Extending existing culverts

The speed limit within the work zone will be reduced.

Drivers and pedestrians should proceed through the work zone with caution, slow down and watch for construction personnel and equipment.
