Plan for lane restrictions on east- and westbound Interstate 10 in Buckeye Feb. 5-9

Drivers should expect delays and allow extra travel time

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan ahead for lane restrictions on Interstate 10 in Buckeye beginning Sunday, Feb. 5.

The following restrictions will occur on westbound I-10 between milepost 106 and State Route 85 junction: 

  • Westbound I-10 will be reduced to one lane nightly from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. beginning the night of Sunday, Feb. 5, and ending the morning of Thursday, Feb. 9.

The following restrictions will occur on eastbound I-10 between milepost 106 and 108 (near Johnson Road)

  • Eastbound I-10 will be reduced to one lane daily from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. beginning Monday, Feb. 6, and ending Thursday, Feb. 9.

During the work, a 14 foot vehicle width restriction will be in place and the speed limit will be reduced to 55 mph.

Drivers should plan for delays, obey posted speed limits and traffic control devices and use caution around construction personnel.

Contractors are scheduled to pave the road and complete concrete repairs.
