Interstate 8 Bridge Deck Rehabilitation in Yuma County
The Arizona Department of Transportation will be rehabilitating various bridge decks within a 32-mile span of Interstate 8 in Yuma County.
Other key elements of the project include:
- Installation of new guardrail
- New concrete sidewalk and sidewalk ramps
- New pedestrian push buttons
- New pavement markings
- Sign upgrades
Expect to see crews working on various bridges within the city of Yuma and the town of Wellton between mileposts 0.1 and milepost 33
What to Expect
ADOT has scheduled work to occur on the following bridges beginning late spring 2022 with completion anticipated winter 2022.
- 4th Street Traffic Interchange Overpass
- Avenue 2E Underpass (Pacific Avenue)
- Telegraph Pass Overpass
- Wellton Road Traffic Interchange Underpass
- County Road 31E Underpass
Drivers should expect possible delays at times throughout the project and should consider alternate routes. Work is scheduled to occur from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mondays through Fridays. Some bridges will experience overnight lane restrictions. The 4th Street Traffic Interchange Overpass will be reduced to one lane 24 hours and 7 days a week beginning summer 2022.
