Lane restrictions continue on State Route 72 (Hope Highway) beginning Sept. 30

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan ahead for lane restrictions on SR 72 between Butler Bridge (milepost 32) and milepost 36.5 beginning Monday, Sept. 30.

Contractors are scheduled to repair pavement.

The following restrictions will occur from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday, Sept. 30, and Tuesday, Oct. 1.

  • Eastbound SR 72 will be narrowed to one lane between Butler Bridge (milepost 32) and milepost 36.5.
  • Flaggers will direct motorists through the work zone.
  • A 12-foot vehicle width restriction will be in place.

Allow extra travel time and plan for delays while construction is underway. ADOT reminds drivers to obey posted speed limits and traffic control devices and use caution around construction personnel and equipment.
