Traffic Alerts - US 95 Pavement Rehabilitation Project between milepost 80 and Crystal Hill Road, Quartzsite

Alternating lane restrictions scheduled on US 95 near Quartzsite beginning March 8

Drivers should expect delays and allow extra travel time

The Arizona Department of Transportation advises drivers to plan ahead for lane restrictions on US 95 south of Quartzsite beginning Monday, March 8, at 6 a.m.

Contractors are scheduled to replace the pavement. The work is part of a pavement rehabilitation project on US 95 between mileposts 80 (near Cibola Road) and 96 (Crystal Hill Road). 

The work also includes replacing existing pavement markings and other miscellaneous work.

The following restrictions will occur from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays through Fridays beginning Monday, March 8, and ending Friday, March 19.

  • Alternating lane closures will occur on north- and southbound US 95 between mileposts 80 and 96. 
  • Flaggers and a pilot car will direct motorists through the work zone.
  • The speed limit will be reduced to 25 mph. 
  • A 12-foot vehicle width restriction will be in place. 

Drivers are asked to use caution, obey posted speed limits and traffic control devices and use caution around construction personnel and equipment.
